The Search is on to find 2011's Best Bar None

Bars, pubs and clubs across the city are gearing up for this year’s Best Bar None Awards scheme, which awards those premises that go the extra mile to ensure their customers have a safe night out.

All premises that apply are put through their paces with a two hour assessment by a pair of licensing professionals, one from within the industry and one from Nottingham City Council.

If successful, they will become an accredited venue and will be eligible to win one of a number of awards, some voted for by the public and some selected by a panel of experts from the licensing trade.  The winners will be announced at a ceremony in November.

The bars, pubs and clubs who pass the assessment process will also receive a host of other benefits such as social media support and promotion through Best Bar None’s partners, including All About Tourism, Things To Do In Nottinghamshire and Experience Nottinghamshire.

Voting for the awards opens on the Best Bar None website in September, and this year all voters will be entered into a competition to win a night out for four people in Nottingham.
