Best Bar None is a national scheme designed to raise the standards of alcohol retailing across the UK, and promote participating cities, such as Nottingham, as a safe place to enjoy a night out.
The licensed premises that apply to take part in Nottingham’s Best Bar None scheme are assessed to determine that they meet an agreed set of operational standards. If they do, they will become a Best Bar None accredited venue.
What does this mean for you? Well, wherever you see the Best Bar None window accreditation certificate or window sticker, you can be assured that that venue has taken proactive steps to provide a responsibly operated and safe environment for you to enjoy.
Each year all accredited venues then have the chance to win awards. Some of the winners are decided by a public vote and the rest are chosen by a panel of expert judges.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in the Spring. Click on the links in the left to find out who has previously won.
